This whole venture started with our own search for better meat for our family.
We were tired of guessing where our beef came from and what was in it. As we found reliable ranch partners and a local butcher we trusted, friends and family started asking if we could help them get the same thing.
MDR is still a small, family-run operation. We focus on quality over quantity—offering a limited number of animals each year so you get excellent beef at a fair price, with a simple, transparent process.
Choose your share
Order a ¼, ½, or whole beef. Prices are based on the hanging weight (the weight of the carcass before cutting and wrapping). Cost for a quarter cow will typically range from $900 - $1300. All cut & wrap fees are included—no surprise butcher bills later.
We process & package your beef
Your animal is processed at a trusted local butcher. For ¼ beef orders, we use our standard cutting plan (about 25% steaks, 25% roasts, 50% ground). ½ and whole beef orders can choose from a variety of cut packages.
We deliver to your area
Once your beef is frozen, boxed, and ready, we’ll meet you at one of our delivery locations in Southeast Idaho/Salt Lake (Approx. Late March 2026),
St. George/Phoenix (Around Easter 2026).
You load it up, take it home, and fill the freezer.
What to expect on yield:
